As his newspaper’s circulation tanks and its parent company goes broke, NH Register Publisher Kevin Walsh made it official: He’s leaving to take a top job with Yale-New Haven Hospital, whose board he served on and for which his editorials shilled. Details. Comment.

The Register has been going downhill for years and hopefully someone will buy it from the courts soon when they file for Chapter 11. The Jackson family must be smiling! They sold the paper for $176 million back in 1986 and the Journal Register has done nothing except ruin the paper through layoffs. Lets hope someone local buys it and builds it up to the paper it once was

Turning leadership of YNHH over to the exec led the Register's race to the bottom, a hospital notorious for its reactionary labor relations and poor corporate citizenship, seems a perfect match!

Let's hope he's a warmer guy than that last iceberg they had heading up YNH's development team.
