A dramatic foot chase on Long Wharf and hold-ups of two fast-food workers were among weekend incidents reported by the cops.

Here’s what happened, according to a round-up report from Officer Joe Avery:

The Long Wharf foot chase was the culmination of a series of events that began shortly after midnight on Crown Street. Officer Duane Biros saw a car driving the wrong way on Crown Street. He tried to make a stop; the driver sped to Park Street, then onto I-95. “It then crashed on the connector ramp. A foot pursuit ended with an arrest at SBC on Long Wharf.” The officer found a .380-caliber handgun in the car and arrested the driver, a 23-year-old felon.

Two “stocky” males approached three 18 year-olds sitting on a Humphrey Street porch around 1;15 a.m. Monday. The pair made off with “cash and phones” after one pulled a silver handgun.

A mugger hit a pizza deliveryman on the head with an “AR15-type” weapon on Sheldon Terrace Sunday morning. Then he and an accomplice drove off in the deliveryman’s 1994 black Toyota Corolla, which had money inside. Cops later found the car and the passenger, who was arrested. The driver got away.

A black ski mask-wearing mugger with “a black and silver handgun” held up Wok 1 on Lombard Street in Fair Haven shortly before 9:30 Sunday night. The mugger got away with between $200 and $300.
