The farm flourishes on a flat piece of land down the hill from the school buildings and animal pens that formed the original centerpiece of learn-by-doing Common Ground High School in the shadow of West Rock.

The call went out for volunteers to help with the harvest on Friday, then enjoy a scrumptious local food meal. By late afternoon, the tables set up under a tent were full of produce, like the beans, these riotously red peppers,

garlic tee-pees,

and a big box of tomatoes, containing at least four different colors and shapes, but all miniatures.
