2 Shootings, 1 Stabbing

The city issued the following release Sunday about three violent incidents this weekend:

The following are updates on three incidents that occurred over the
weekend in New Haven:

-On Saturday, at approximately 4 a.m., officers responded to the area of 95
Kensington Street on a report of a man down in the alleyway. Officers
responded and found, 25-year-old Christopher Senior of New Haven suffering
from multiple gun shot wounds. Senior was pronounced dead at the scene.

-Also on Saturday, at approximately 11:52 p.m., officers responded to 869
Sherman Parkway on a report of a shooting. Officers located an individual there
who had suffered a non-life threatening gun shot wound to his leg. The victim
stated he had been the victim of an attempted robbery at that address.

-At approximately 1:38 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the area of 25
Elliott Street for a report of a stabbing. The victim, 27-year-old Jesus
Quinones, of New Haven, was driven to Yale New Haven Hospital prior to police
arrival. Officers learned there was an altercation in front of 25 Elliott St.
which resulted in Quinones being stabbed multiple times. Quinones is in
critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital, with life threatening injuries.
