Two people escaped an attempted carjacking in the Shaw’s Supermarket parking lot at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. Two victims told police they were parked in the Whalley Avenue lot when five men, ages 16-20, got out of a gold Taurus and came up to them. One simulated having a gun under his shirt. They ordered the victims to get out of the car.

The victims fled in their car. The perps jumped back into the Taurus and pursued them until Orchard and Goffe, where they confronted the victims again. The victims got away a second time, according to police.
