The Finance Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 6:00 P.M, in the Aldermanic Chambers, 165 Church St., New Haven, to act upon the following items;
1. FROM ALDERMAN SERGIO RODRIGUEZ SUBMITTING AN ORDER ESTABLISHING A STEERING COMMITTEE TO EXPLORE THE FEASIBILITY OF MOVING CITY GOVERNMENT TO A FOUR DAY WORK WEEK AND EXPLORE POSSIBLE COST SAVINGS.
2. ORDER TO READ AND FILE THE REQUIRED BUDGETARY AND FINANCIAL REPORTS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2008 IN COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION #62 OF THE CHARTER.
3. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO SECTION 70-16 (2) OF THE NEW HAVEN CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES REGARDING THE ALLING MEMORIAL GOLF COURSE FEE SCEDULE UPDATE.
4. Ordinance Amendment to Section 70-13 the New Haven Code of Ordinances regarding establishing an extension of the Lighthouse Point Park season.
5. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING ELIMINATION OF THE SMALL BUSINESS INITIATIVE.
6. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO SECTIONS I, II AND III OF VARIOUS APPROPRIATING ORDINANCES ENTITLED “APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #3, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS,” ENACTED FOR VARIOUS FISCAL YEARS, REGARDING QUALIFIED ENERGY CONSERVATION BONDS
7. AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #3, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, FY 2008-09, ADDING TWO NEW APPROPRIATION AND BOND AUTHORIZATIONS ENTITLED “PROJECT NO. 0914, HIGH SCHOOL IN THE COMMUNITY - $1,757,076” AND “PROJECT NO. 0934, HALL OF RECORDS - $5,000,000”
8. AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #3, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, FY2008-2009, AMENDING THE PROJECT NARRATIVE FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED “0972 METERS $50,000 CITY”
