Alleged Rapist Caught

Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for raping and beating unconscious a woman this weekend on Newhallville’s Willis Street.
The incident happened at 1 a.m. on Saturday, according to city spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga.
A 50-year-old woman was walking down Sherman Avenue near the Knickerbocker Club when she was approached by a man. They started talking.
The man allegedly lured her into his home on Willis Street, where he punched her in the face repeatedly, raped her, and restrained her from leaving the house.
The victim escaped after the man fell asleep, Mayorga said. She flagged down a police officer at about 3:45 a.m. and reported the attack. When police went back to the crime scene, they found that the man had fled.
Detectives caught up with the suspect Monday afternoon at his temporary job in North Haven, according to Mayorga. He was charged with first-degree sexual assault, first-degree kidnapping, and second-degree threatening.
The suspect is a registered sex offender in Pennsylvania and has been out of compliance there since 2006, she said. The suspect is out of compliance with Connecticut sex offender registry laws, too, and will be charged accordingly.

Insider
I was trying so hard not to comment on that. But Yes insider, people misrepresent this the 3 strikes. They always seem to leave out the part where it is VIOLENT offenders. Not drug dealer, not petty thieves. Most common criminals even ones that have long rap sheets will NOT be effected by the 3 stikes law. It is scum like this that will be! Ya see the way the system works right now he will be out in a few years and guess what he will most likely rape again. Most that are fighting against the 3 strikes are only doing it because it is a high profile so they are USING it as a platform to get programs (programs that I agree are very much needed) but at the expense of the victims of crimes such as this one!
