Here is another story I wish you guys would look into. In hard times the animal shelter will not take unwanted pets. AKA cat house on the water. LCI said if you can not afford to care for your cat take it to the pound. But they will not take them! So people are dumping them in other community's. In hard economic time family's are already under pressure. Some have to move to smaller places, place that don't take pets, so smimple can not afford them and the New Haven animal shelter will not take them. I think this needs to be reviewed.

Thanks so much to the NHI for posting these listings. I am thrilled and appreciative of the responses from potential animal owners. Fortunately, all three cats found wonderful homes.
I agree that there is a problem with abandoned animals and the shelters are full and not accepting any more critters. However, I do believe there are people who are willing and looking to provide responsible homes for pets. If you know of an abandoned animal, use your network of friends / acquaintances to find good homes.
Again, the NHI was wonderful for posting these listings. While there is an ongoing issue with abandoned animals, there are people who care about these critters!
