City To Clean Green

Aldermen gave unanimous approval Monday night to a resolution requiring the use of green cleaning products in government buildings.

When the bill gained approval at a committee meeting last month, sponsors of the resolution argued that a commitment to certified-green cleaning products would protect the health of city employees and might even save the city money. Click here to read more.

Monday, Fair Haven Alderwoman Erin Sturgis-Pascale said that while the city has already begun to adopt green cleaning methods, the bill would articulate a clear policy to ensure that those practices continue.
