Winners Selected in Couture New Haven Contest

After a contest that drew more than twice the expected number of applicants, Yale University Properties marketing and promotions coordinator Brittany Lipsett said the new face of “Couture New Haven” would be 23-year-old North Haven resident Marie-Lynn Piscitelli (pictured, left).
The heavy turnout, Lipsett said, also led to the selection of 10 additional winners who will appear on the WTNH CT Styles fashion show, rather than the five originally planned. The 10 selected as runners-up out of the 165 contenders were:
Tyler Elkington - 19, Yale Student
Kristie Matthews - 20, of Fairfield
Lauren Rosenthal - 18, Yale Student
Steven Dinello - 29, of North Branford
Riana Odin - 15, of Trumbull
Jordan Waters - 17, of New Haven
Maya Ilic - 23, of Orange
Svetlana Marovich - 29, of Derby
Reynaldo McCoy - 28, of Vernon
Michael Caserta - 21, of Madison

Wow. Not one comment about how many out of towners are on this list? Aren't there enough aspiring models in living New Haven to start a protest about how the judging was unfair? Not one person thinks being judged on ""poise, personality and healthy appearance." is unfair since historically New Haven models don't have the same advanatges out of town models do?
