That was the title of a conference organized this past week by a state-based medical research foundation. It explored how the new online world will impact health care — or, in the sponsor’s words, “What Happens When Social Media and Medicine Collide?” Jennifer Burke Labriola of the Donaghue Foundation, which sponsored the event, sent in the following photos and captions. (After-conference blog here.)

The conference — which attracted more than 300 health leaders from across the state — addressed the impact of online social media and other online innovations on healthcare landscape.

I am sure somebody mentioned the Medicine 2.0 congress (Social Media, Web 2.0 and Medicine) we are organizing in Toronto in September, 17-18th, 2009, which seems to have a similar scope. Here is the URL: http://www.medicine20congress.com.
Hope to see some of you there!
