Three men were wounded overnight in two separate shootings in the Fair Haven neighborhood.

Mugger Shoots

At 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, police got a report of a shooting near the Fair Haven Middle School on Grand Avenue. A 20-year-old man from the East Shore told police he was shot during an attempted robbery. He said he was walking west on Grand Ave when a man came up to him with a gun. The man tried to rob him. When the victim pushed the gun away, he was shot in the leg.

2 Wounded

Shortly thereafter, two men were wounded in a shooting outside 16/18 Main St. The victims were part of a group of five men who were standing outside that address. Two men approached the group at about 12:41 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The two men said something to the group, then fired three bullets. Two victims, ages 30 and 31, were wounded in the knee and leg respectively.
