So I heard Hamlet say : “A king of shreds and patches…” as I walked into this fourth-floor gallery. Were these the remains of some bleak empire, or its invention? Time shifts in this room. It is both before and after. There is a new memory of violence here, and violence to come, with the interrogators off briefly for coffee. The walls, bare, offer no consolation. Imagine an echo of silence. The temptation is to run madly in circles around the object, hoping for some sign of your presence being recognized. But it will not be.

I saw this exhibit a couple weeks ago: biggest waste of money ever. Why did the gallery spend millions of dollars to have a guy make a mess that can be seen anywhere at a children's arts and crafts center. It takes up the whole floor, too! Theres no explanation, no other work on the walls just this piece of crap. What a joke!
