The Human Services Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
RESOLUTION OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR UP TO $75,000 TO THE U.S. CONFERENCE OF MAYORS, CITIES UNITED FOR SCIENCE PROGRESS (CUSP) LEAD-SAFE… FOR KID’S SAKE GRANT PROGRAM FOR FUNDS TO PROVIDE REMEDIATION OF LEAD CONTAMINATED SOIL AND TO EXPAND CHILDHOOD LEAD POISONING PREVENTION OUTREACH ACTIVITES. THE RESOLUTION SHALL FURTHER AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDING, IF OFFERED.
