Man Shot In Leg

A man walked into the Yale-New Haven Hospital ER at 12:30 p.m. Thursday with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, according to police.

He told police he was shot in the area of Rosette and Arthur Streets. Police could not locate a crime scene.

Necklace Snatched

Strolling down Davenport Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, a woman had her necklace snatched right off her neck.

A female victim was walking on Davenport at 1:30 p.m. when a man approached her and grabbed a gold chain off her neck, police said. He jumped into the passenger side of a silver car with tinted windows, which sped off north on Elliot Street.

Gun shots were reported at 9:30 p.m. near the corner of Quinnipiac Avenue and Quinnipiac Court. Ten shell casings were recovered. No injuries were reported and no witnesses came forward.
