James Jones, 78, of New Haven passed away November 19, 2009. James Jones was born to the late Clifton Washington and Annie Bell Jones on May 1, 1931 in Elgin, SC. He leaves to cherish his memory; sisters, Louise Payne, Annie L. Ball both of Columbia, SC; uncle, Rafus Jones; granddaughter; Carolyn Underwood of New Haven; grandson; James Garrett of New Haven; 2 grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren and a host of many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his companion for many years, Bobbie Williams; sister, Bernice Lyles; great granddaughter, Tashima Bivens. A wake will be take place Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11AM-1PM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services 1287 Chapel Street New Haven, CT 06511. Interment will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Garden Columbia, SC. Online sympathy messages available here.
