111109_JanniePrescott2.jpgJannie Mae Prescott, 64, of New Haven, departed this life November 8, 2009.

Born in Cassette, SC, February 3, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Rosa Lee Farmer Jackson.

She was employed at the former Echlin Automotive Control Co. as a Material Assembler and was a member of Joy Temple Church of Christ in Prayer.

Ms. Prescott leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Renee Hickman (William) of Bishopville, SC; sons, Ronnie, Donnie and Christopher Prescott all of New Haven; brothers, Benny Jackson (Gloria) and Andrew Jackson (Juanita) both of Cassette, SC; sisters, Abbie Forman (James) of Balitmore, MD and Mary Lee Johnson (W.C.) of Bishopville, SC; her former spouse, Edward Lee Prescott of Bishopville, SC; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Lee Jackson and Simon Jackson, Jr.; sisters, Willie Bell Watson and Mariah Charles; and a granddaughter, Kiara Suggs.

A celebration of Ms. Prescott’s life and legacy will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at Joy Temple Church of Christ in Prayer, 424 Howard Ave., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 9:00-10:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. What a beautiful and classy lady, we all loved her dearly and she will be missed, May you rest in peace Janie, it was a pleasure to have known such a lovely lady.

To a wonderful, kind hearted, beautiful woman--You were truly a great person who always embraced me with a warm smile and hug. You are certainly in a better place and you will be missed by many. Memories of your love will be held close to our hearts. God Bless you and your family.
