Koffee? Robbed

A gunman held up a popular Audubon Street coffee shop late Tuesday night. No one was hurt.
The robbery took place around 9:55 p.m. at Koffee?, five minutes before closing time.
A man who appeared to be in his 40s and around six feet two inches tall came in and ordered a cup of house coffee, according to owner Duncan Goodall. He sat down with it for a moment. Two other patrons were in the shop.
Then the man stood up. “He walked straight behind the counter” and approached the barista on duty, Goodall said. “He was holding a gun next to his leg. He nodded at it.”
He told the barista, “I’m going to be taking all the cash.”
The man didn’t point the gun at anyone, Goodall said. The barista opened the register and backed away.
“I need a bag,” the gunman said. The barista pointed to a small brown bag, which the gunman took and filled with the cash in the register. (Goodall declined to say how much cash.)
“He was surprisingly nonviolent. He was very methodical about it” Goodall said of the gunman, relying on the barista’s account. He arrived on the scene shortly after the man fled.
Cops arrived, too, and interviewed the barista and the patrons. No one was hurt in the incident.
“We’re in shock about it,” Goodall said.
