The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A STATEWIDE TACTICAL ON-SCENE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, ALSO KNOWN AS A STOCS BOX, AND AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND HOMELAND SECURITY TO ACT AS CUSTODIAN OF A STOCS BOX ALONG WITH THE NEW HAVEN AREA SPECIAL HAZARDS TEAM.

ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN calling for a Hearing on the recent downtown fire and demolition of the Kresge building to review and discuss issues related to the costs associated with the city’s response.

ORDER THAT THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN POLICE CHIEF PROVIDE REPORTS ON THE NEW HAVEN GUN PROJECT AND/OR ANY SUCCESSOR PROGRAMS TO COMBAT THIS DEADLY EPIDEMIC OF YOUTH GUN VIOLENCE.

ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCERNING THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY TO REGULATE ELECTRONIC MONITORING OF PUBLIC SPACES AND TO DETERMINE UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES THE USE OF VIDEO AND OTHER SURVEILLANCE DEVICES ARE PERMITTED IN PUBLIC SPACES.
