Virgie%20Moore%202-29-1936-11-28-2009.jpgMother Virgie W. Moore, 73, of New Haven; formerly of Hamden entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 28, 2009. Born in Franklin, VA on February 29, 1936, she was the widow of Deacon Roosevelt Moore, Jr. to whom she was married to for 55 years. Mother Moore retired from the VA Hospital after 31 years. She leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Zelinda O. Clark (Noel P), Francesca M. Poole (Gerald) of Hamden, and Belania M. Cannon of New Haven; brother, Curtis L. Davis of TX; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 due in February and a host of other relatives and friends. Virgie was predeceased by her mother, Virginia West; sister, Earlene Harold and sister-in-law, Helen Davis. A celebration of her life will take place Thursday December 3, 2009 at 11 AM at Friendship Baptist Church 26 Edwards St Hamden CT. Friends may call Thursday at the church from 10-11 AM. Interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services 1287 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511.
