Catherine Sullivan-DeCarlo, who was Mayor John DeStefano’s press spokeswoman for his first two terms in office then spent a decade promoting good news about New Haven schools, was feted Wednesday night at a retirement party. (She’s shown on the right in photo with her sister, Patricia Sullivan, who came down from Boston to celebrate.)
