Two days before liftoff, a grand total of 24 people and just one hospital have signed up for Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s plan to insure some of Connecticut’s hundreds of thousands of adults without health coverage.

Man Robbed

A man told police he was mugged by four men — two on dirt bikes, two on bicycles — at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel and Dwight Streets. The victim was robbed at gunpoint of his bicycle, according to police.

Soul Food Elevates Whalley

Business is booming at Mama Mary’s Soul Food Restaurant, which opened two weeks ago on Whalley Avenue. No one was enjoying the collard greens and corn bread more than loyal customer Miss Daisy Jones.
