Two people are in the hospital — one in critical condition, the other “serious but stable” — after they were shot Wednesday night at the Farnam Courts housing development.
Police spokesman Officer David Hartman issued the following initial account:
“At around 7:30 this evening, police were notified by Yale New Haven Hospital staff of two gunshot victims that were delivered to the Emergency Department by private vehicles.
“Brian Faulks, twenty-eight, of New Haven, was shot several times. He is in serious but stable condition. The second victim is thirty-nine year old Erin K Jones, also of New Haven. Jones is in critical condition.
“Detectives have located what they suspect is the crime scene on Franklin Street in the Farnam Courts Housing Complex. Investigators from the department’s Bureau of Identification are there collecting evidence. Detectives are interested in speaking with anyone who witnessed the shootings or who may have information valuable to the case. They can be reached by phoning 203 – 946-6304.
