The Tax Abatement Committee will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 26, 2010, at 6:30 P.M, in the Aldermanic Chambers, 165 Church St., New Haven, to act upon the following items;
EDNA MAE CALDWELL, OF 249 COLONY ROAD, REQUESTING ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING VETERANS BENEFITS FOR THE GRAND LIST YEAR 2009.
1.
DREW KING PETITIONING THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN FOR ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING A REFUND ON HIS MOTOR VEHICLE PROPERTY TAX FOR THE GRAND LIST YEARS 2007 AND 2008.
2.
ORDER ABATING (FORGIVNESS) REAL PROPERTY TAXES DUE FROM CARL D. REYNOLDS ON HIS MOTOR VEHICLES, GRAND LISTS OF 1998, 1999, AND 2000.
3.
MICHELE ANN GAY, OF 208 SAINT JOHN STREET, REQUESTING AN ABATEMENT OF TAXES (FOREGIVENESS) DUE ON HER VEHICLES, GRAND LISTS 2006, 2007, AND 2008.
4.
FROM THE NEW HAVEN PEOPLE’S CENTER SUBMITTING A PETITION FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TAXES.
5.
DIRECTOR OF THE GREATER DWIGHT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REQUESTING A HEARING CONCERNING THEIR PROPERTY TAX BILL FOR GRAND LIST YEAR 2009 AND THE HOSTILE BEHAVIOUR OF CERTAIN CITY STAFF

Workshop: To discus tax appeals and assessment appeals with City officials.
