Alfred V. “Ollie” Gomez, 86, of New Haven born on March 29, 1929 to the late Jose Gomes and Annie L. (Golds) Gomes of New Haven, passed away June 12, 2015.
Ollie leaves to cherish his memory son Eugene Harris of NC, daughters Margaret Pritchett (Oria Jr) of AL and Tina Gomes of FL, brothers; August Gomes (Nancy) of CA, James Virgil Gomes (Johnnie) of TN and Patrick Gomes of CA, sister Gloria Ammons of Hamden, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, special friend Brenda Bethea, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by wife Anitra Andrews Gomez, son Leo Bethea, brothers Jose Gomes Jr, Anthony Gomes, Harold Gomes, Elliott Gomes, sisters; Murdell Hamilton Gomes, Agnes L. Richardson, and Nancy R. Shaw. A celebration of his life will take place Thursday June 18, 2015 at 11 AM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services; 1287 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511, with Thursday visitation from 10 – 11 AM.
