Two victims — one, a 13 year-old girl — were shot in the face with BB guns in separate incidents Monday. And a 14 year-old boy has been arrested for a Dixwell Avenue shooting last week. Read on for details, according to police spokeswoman Bonnie Winchester.

A 13 year-old girl is suffering from a serious eye injury after being shot in the eye with a BB gun in the Hill Monday evening. The girl was standing outside a home on Stevens Street at 7:26 p.m. Monday when someone fired a BB gun at her. She told police she thought the shots had come from three subjects on a nearby porch.

Shortly after in an apparently unrelated incident in Fair Haven, a man was robbed, assaulted and shot in the face with a BB gun near Grand Avenue and Poplar Street at 8:48 p.m. Police tracked down a getaway car and arrested four people, three male, one female, in relation to the assault. The victim remained in stable condition at Yale New-Haven Hospital Tuesday afternoon.

And police arrested a 14 year-old from Elm Street for allegedly shooting a man last Friday on Dixwell Avenue. The boy was in custody of juvenile detention officials.
