As part of its grand opening on Whalley Avenue, a Bruegger’s Bagels store recently donated a portion of the proceeds from a weekend’s sales to the Connecticut Food Bank. The bagel shop raised $1,000—enough for 3,200 meals.

Brueggie, the bagel chain’s mascot, and the Southern Connecticut State University owl were on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony (pictured).

Sure would have been nice if you had noted the address.

Don’t know the street number but it is located off exit 59 on the parkway, in the vicinity of A-1 Toyota, Walgreen’s, Athenian Diner, and unfortunately a lot of the ongoing Whalley Avenue roadwork.
