At least five Westville neighbors woke up Tuesday to find their car windows shot out.
The incidents occurred on Roger Road, Alden Avenue, and West Rock Avenue, said top Westville cop Sgt. Renee Dominguez. No items were reported stolen from the vehicles.
“They weren’t car break-ins. They were kids — we’re assuming kids — being vandals shooting out windows with b.b. guns,” Dominguez said. She said the police do not have any leads on suspects at this point.
Have you heard about the dozen or so car "flash mob" breakins around Quinnipiac Ave. or are those being kept quiet? NHI seems to be slipping! You are our ONLY source of what is REALLY happening in New Haven, but you seem to have been "Harpized" or muzzled by city hall! We NEVER seem to get any follow up to some of the law breaker businesses that you report on like Paradise Landscaping and tree business or the junkyard that took over a city street! MAYBE I missed the follow ups, but I doubt it. One of those businesses seems to be connected to a politician so maybe that's the reason there is no further info forthcoming?
