A parks department employee found skeletal remains wrapped in a pink blanket in East Rock Park on Wednesday. It was at first unclear if the remains were from a baby or an animal. Police later reported the remains were from a dog.

Cops: Robber Left No Trace

After a stick-up at a bodega on Shelton Avenue, police found no evidence to help investigate the crime.

Here’s what happened, according to Avery:

At 7:55 p.m. on Wednesday, a man in a mask and hoody entered Cerda’s Market at 209 Shelton Ave. He pointed a small black handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk gave the man $350 from the register and the robber left.

Identification of the suspect is not possible, police said. Since the robber didn’t touch anything in the store, there was no crime scene to process. The store doesn’t have a video surveillance system.
