Another Hurricane Sandy postscript: CTWorks Career Center/Workforce Alliance is back open at 560 Ella Grasso Blvd.

The center had to close after Hurricane Sandy “washed through” and “left a mess that took weeks to repair,” according to a release. Since then, people have had to visit centers in Hamden or Meriden to meet with employment specialists and get help.

Now the Boulevard center is cleaned up and operating from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays; 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. (For more info call 203-624-1493 or check this site.)

“Customers can again use our free computer labs, attend skill-building workshops, meet with employment specialists, and apply for job training, transportation and other assistance programs,” the release stated.
