Delaney’s will not be selling booze on Jan. 21, after the popular Westville bar allegedly served alcohol to a minor.
The bar has paid a $500 fine and will have its liquor license suspended. The state Liquor Control Commission imposed those penalties for alleged violation of laws prohibiting sales to minors and allowing minors in a barroom.
Reached by phone, a Delaney’s manager declined to comment.
Last October the commission sent two minors undercover to nine local pubs to test whether they’d be served. Only two establishments—Delaney’s and Temple Grill — served them, according to the commission.
