Delaney’s will not be selling booze on Jan. 21, after the popular Westville bar allegedly served alcohol to a minor.
The bar has paid a $500 fine and will have its liquor license suspended. The state Liquor Control Commission imposed those penalties for alleged violation of laws prohibiting sales to minors and allowing minors in a barroom.
Reached by phone, a Delaney’s manager declined to comment.
Last October the commission sent two minors undercover to nine local pubs to test whether they’d be served. Only two establishments—Delaney’s and Temple Grill—served them, according to the commission.
