Final Cut

Within days of a series of shoots in New Haven neighborhoods, “Blvd Boy” has hit YouTube.

Braggin Rights—aka 24-year-old Britton Bragg—came up with a song by that title soon before being released from jail recently after serving four years on an armed-robbery charge.

He quickly had the song recorded in the studio. Then he brought a crew around town to shoot video, directed by Buddah of Globial Studioz. This story in the Independent last week captured that process.

It took mere days for Seth Moore to complete the final edited cut for the video to hit YouTube. It begins with Bragg leaving jail (proclaiming “Fuck this shit!” as he kicks a judicial marshal van’s tire) and returning to New Haven; then shows him and his crew performing the song at various locations on the street. Paul, is that you in the video around 1:40?

[Bass: Yes. While I was video-recording them putting together the video, they video-recorded me video-recording them putting together the video.]
