A first-ever spring citywide community-garden tour launches Saturday at 10 a.m.
You might not know that at least 18 neighborhood community gardens are thriving in New Haven. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the New Haven Land Trust is inviting the public to tour any or all of the gardens — just to visit, or to pitch in — as spring clean-up commences.
Here’s the list of gardens:
Bethesda Lutheran Garden: 305 St. Ronan St
Chapelseed Garden: 1596 Chapel St
Clinton Ave School Garden: 293 Clinton Ave
Davenport Garden: 145 Davenport Ave
English St Garden: 220 English St
Fairmont Heights Garden: 70 Fairmont Ave
Field of Greens Garden: 8 Arthur St
Garden in the Park: 90 Clifton St
Goatville Garden: 44 Lawrence St
Grand Acres Garden: 47 Grand Ave
Liberty-Springside Garden: 81 Springside Ave
Mansfield St Garden: 191 Mansfield St
