The city plans to close the blocks of Grand Avenue between East and James streets to vehicular traffic for four weeks starting Monday “to allow for an overhaul and upgrade of the Providence and Wooster Railroad crossing of Grand Avenue just east of East Street.”
So reported mayoral spokesman Laurence Grotheer in a press release.
Pedestrians and cyclists will be allowed to use the road, but cyclists “will be asked to walk their bikes through the construction zone.”
