(Updated: 6 p.m.) Detectives are investigating a homicide that took place this afternoon on Eastern Street, according to police spokesman Officer David Hartman.
The fatal shooting occurred before 2 p.m., right out in the street. The victim, an adult male, was shot in the chest.
Police identified the victim as Durrell Patrick Law, age 20, of Daggett Street in the Hill.
