Then the New Haven schools may just the job for you. Until they find someone better.
The job is superintendent of schools. It’s slated to open on Nov. 1.
The Board of Education put out a job description for someone to fill the job on an interim basis while it conducts a separate search for someone else to fill the job permanently for the next academic year.
“The community and school board are looking for an individual who understands, embraces, and appreciates New Haven’s diversity and history. The successful candidate will commit to transparency, access, and creating equitable environments for all of New Haven’s students,” the description reads in part.

Oh, and if you get the job — you will be ineligible for the permanent post.
Board of Education member Darnell Goldson is heading the interim search committee.
“I fully hope that we will be able to complete this process before the end of October, preferably by our last regular BOE meeting, which is Oct. 24. It is a tight and aggressive target date, but with discipline and focus I’m sure we can meet that target,” Goldson stated in a release.
What's the rationale for making the person who fills the interim job ineligible for the permanent one?
