City elderly services chief Pat Wallace sent in this photo and write-up.
Ms. Mae Huckaby presented a special award to Ms. Irrita Osborn at the 10th anniversary of the Dixwell-Newhallville Senior Center.
Her grandson Trevor presented flowers.
State Sen. Toni Harp presented a citation to Ms. Osborn and the Dixwell-Newhallville Senior Club for providing opportunities for growth and empowerment for New Haven’s seniors. More than 250 people attended.
Mr. William Vaughn is the president of the Dixwell-Newhallville Senior Club, which sponsored the event.
