Johnny King’s Turn

When Babz Rawls-Ivy was first listening to R&B Evelyn Champagne King, Johnny King was just a boy with musical aspirations, bopping along to the beat in the background.

Years passed. Suddenly, Johnny was grown up, living in New Haven, and cutting his teeth on an album of his own.

I’ve been a musician since I was 10 years old, and shortly after my sister broke out with Shame,’ all of my brothers and I decided to form a band … I took it really seriously. I started to grow my musical acumen … My love for music was something where the foundation got in place, and it has never been rocked,” he said while presenting his new album, All About Me, on the inaugural episode of LoveBabz LoveTalk” on WNHH radio.

You can listen to the episode by clicking on the sound file above or finding it in the iTunes store or on any podcast app under WNHH Community Radio,” to listen later.
