After he found an intruder in his apartment Tuesday night, a man chased him out and retrieved his stolen laptop, but not his wallet.
Here’s what happened, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery:
At 11:16 p.m., police received a report of an attempted burglary at 900 Chapel St. A man had discovered a stranger in his apartment. He chased him out and recovered a bag and a laptop the intruder had stolen and dropped. The man later discovered his wallet was missing.
In other police news according to Avery:
At 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, a victim reported being robbed at Church Street South and Columbus Avenue. The mugger, armed with a handgun, took $20 and fled in a blue car with tinted windows and chrome rims.
At 4:34 p.m., a caller reported two men tried to rob her husband at 1425 Quinnipiac Ave. One of the men fired a shot before the two men fled in an older gold two-door Honda.
At 10:33 p.m., police stopped a car connected to a possible weapon violation. With the help of Silk the police dog, cops found a gun nearby. Three people were arrested on weapons and drug charges.
