The Dixwell alderman’s appearing on late-night TV with his band again, this time on the Letterman show next Tuesday night. (Last gig was Leno.)
Here’s a note he sent around:
Hi All,
I just wanted to make sure that you tune in to David Letterman this Tuesday night. For all of you that don’t know, that is the late show, and it airs at 11:30 p.m. If you know you are an early sleeper, set your timers now so that you can tape it. My band DangerZone and I will be appearing on David Letterman playing behind Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, and Chingy. This is going to be a great performance and its going to be fun to play behind 3 Artists at once. Please let me know how you like it!! You can view pictures of our band and past shows at www.dangerzonetheband.comRegards,
Greg Morehead

So i’m assuming that his little section of Dixwell is completely clear of crime, forclosures and blight, and the infrastructure - unlike my neighborhood - is at least 90% in tact?
The only time i hear about this guy is when he’s promoting himself.

Yeah, has anyone gone to the 22nd ward’s website? please do, then tell me he’s not a hypocrite.
This self proclaimed “man of god” is backing up chingy and ludicris? Will he be filling in at rythm guitar when Slayer comes around?
Get back to work or give up your seat.
Can i assume that Michale Bolton is moving back to run for as East Shore’s alderman, maybe sit in on a few meetings each year?

Greg are you concerned with Stetson Branch Library or do you even know about it!

Do you people think that an Alderman should be allowed to have a career? Or are they supposed to live off the 2,000 a year stipend that they receive TOTAL. Morehead gives back more to his community in total dollars that he receives in pay, but yopu guys would have him not work, go into foreclosure and be completely relient of political favors to eek out a living? the guy needs to support his family, this is his career, unless you idiots are willing to pay alderman $50,000 a year, you’re never going to get great people to give up their full-time jobs to serve on the board. Do any of you really think that Morehead or any other alder is supposed to live off of $2,000 a YEAR?

I commend Alderman Morehead for having a career outside of City government unlike some of his colleagues. However he took an oath of office to represent the people who elected him.
Apparently the people in Dixwell believe that he can balance both. Let’s hope that his heart and actions can assure his constituency that they made the right choice.
