Make A Wish

Make a wish—while supplies last.
That was the fleeting message from a quickly melting snow sculpture on the lower New Haven Green Friday afternoon.
Rumika Shibata, 3, stopped by to stare into one of the snow-head’s two faces. Others paused to wedge a lucky penny into the globe.
A sign offers a caveat: “Limit 2 Wishes. Sorry, times are tough.”
