A man died in a fatal crash in the Annex Thursday morning.
The two-car crash occurred at Townsend and Forbes avenues at 10:37 a.m., reported police spokesman Officer David Hartman.
He said initial reports suggest that a driver may have sped through a red light then crashed his car into another car. Those initial reports have not been confirmed; an investigation has commenced.
An as-yet unidentified man in the other car “died after suffering cardiac arrest,” Hartman reported. No other injuries were reported. Cops found “illegal drugs” in the victim’s car.
Roads leading to the Townsend-Forbes intersection are expected to remain closed for hours.
