Man Shot, Critical

Someone shot a man in the back in Fair Haven Thursday night.
The victim, who was born in 1982, said he “knew an acquaintance of the gunman,” according to police spokesman Officer David Hartman.
The shooting occurred inside a first-floor Poplar Street apartment shortly before 10 p.m. The victim is listed in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
The police requested that “anyone with information about this crime” call 203-946-6304. “Calls may be made anonymously.”

I understand that sometimes information is limited, but please try to write these stories a little better for the readers of this forum. It could very well be our neighborhood, building or street that these incidents are taking place and I’m sure all of us would like to know specifics.
