Police found a dead man outside 49 Sherman Court shortly before 9 p.m. Monday. He’d been shot multiple times, including in the head.
They believe they shooting took place around the corner at 1447 Chapel St. by the St. Raphael campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital, and then “the victim made his way to Sherman Court,” according to police spokesman Officer David Hartman.
Hartman said the police haven’t yet identified the victim. “Detectives are investigating whether the victim may have been in an argument with someone just prior to the fatal shooting,” he stated in a release.
