Allan Appel Photo Supplications are appearing in chalk at the corner of Olive and Chapel streets, where Rev. Alex Dyer has had a board placed at the steps to the Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. James.

The board has been up for less than two days.

“The intention is to hear the prayers of people passing by,” Dyer said.
