Hundreds of New Haveners gathered Saturday for the third and largest annual bike ride between New Haven’s iconic cliffs.

Since it started in 2009 with 200 riders, Rock To Rock has become an annual rite and a major green fundraiser. This year, 500 riders raised more than $50,000 for 14 environmental groups, according to organizers.

Some riders took the leisurely ride through the parks. Others opted for a faster, long ride. They all met up in East Rock Park at the end for food, freebies and massages.
