Ryshon Derrell Walker, 31, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 11, 2016.
He was born in New Haven on March 27, 1985. Ryshon was a graduate of Jonathan Law High School in Milford. He went on to take classes at Gateway Community College and later attended and graduated from the Porter & Chester Institute HVAC program. Not many knew that Ryshon was a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. Through his life struggles, the two things that were important to Ryshon was his love for God and his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Daris Best and Sonora Murphy; stepfather Mark Murphy III; sister, Danielle Best; brother, Daris Best Jr; grandparents, Raymond and Doris Walker, Delois Murphy; special uncles, Raymond Walker Jr and Darrin Murphy; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Ryshon is predeceased by his grandfather, Mark Murphy Jr.
A celebration of life will take place Dec.16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Wayfaring Ministries, 29 Marne St Rear, Hamden, CT 06514. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Services by Howard K.
