So beautifully done Zoe. You manage to capture that place where light meets dark and style it in a way that allows the viewer to feel the actual spirit of the scene. One could study this rendering again and again, always finding something new to deepen the understanding of the processes of nature. Just gorgeous. Kudos New Haven Independent for adding this column featuring almost-hidden natural beauty found close to city-center, and the works of brilliant local artist Zoe Matthiessen. I hope someone recognizes Swamp Thing and gets a print!
