A candidate from Seymour running for state office gave her first extended interview Monday on Valley Navel Gazing,” hosted by Valley Independent Sentinel reporters Ethan Fry and Eugene Driscoll. Nicole Klarides-Ditria says tax increases in the state are crippling the economy, especially for small businesses. This Day in New Haven History” host Allan Appel and his regular guest, the New Haven Museum’s Jason Bischoff-Wurstle, read a letter from John Elliot, a young Civil War soldier stationed in North Carolina. On Jan. 1, 1865 Elliot wrote to his mom in Milford describing the ducks and onions he had for dinner at camp.
