Tom Brady’s legal bills are interesting. So are the Red Sox’s fortunes. But here’s the big question: What do you wear to a tennis tournament?
That mystery, among others, was plumbed in the inaugural episode of WNHH’s “Cannoli and Knish Sports Hour.” Click on the sound file above to listen to the show.
Co-host Vincent Mauro Jr. (“Cannoli,” at left in photo), who wore an old New Haven Nighthawks T shirt to the radio studio, revealed that this will be the first year he attends the the Connecticut Open tennis tournament in New Haven, which this year gets underway next Friday, Aug. 21. He said he’s clueless about what to wear. “I think you’re supposed to wear white” he said.
Co-host Joel Rudikoff (“Knish,” at right in photo): That’s the players.
Cannoli: So I can wear my gu… tees?
Knish: Whites aren’t just any clothing that is white; the white Vinnie T I don’t think really qualifies. But as a spectator, there’s no dress code for the tournament.
Cannoli: We’ll have to clarify this.
Tune in next week for the answer.
